This body of work represents a visual timeline of Australia, told through an Aboriginal lens. It highlights key events that have shaped the lives and culture of Aboriginal people — from pre-colonial times through to the ongoing impacts of white colonization. The timeline captures moments of resilience, loss, and survival, providing a narrative often overlooked in mainstream histories.

To reflect the deep connection between Aboriginal people and the land, I have used a range of materials to create a textured, earthen background. The surface is intentionally made to resemble the walls of ancient caves, evoking the feeling of being surrounded by stories carved into the land itself — stories that span tens of thousands of years.
This series is not only about the extermination of native animal species but also about the devastating loss of Aboriginal Mobs and cultures across Australia following colonization. Entire communities were displaced, traditions were disrupted, and countless lives were lost. The work serves as both a memorial and a call to acknowledge the true history of this country — one that includes the voices, knowledge, and experiences of its First Nations people.
