Awabakal Country and Community

This artwork depicts the glorious Lake Macquarie on Awabakal Land. It shows the east side of the lake and the west side of the lake with communities thriving on both reaping the benefits of living life on the coast. This stretch of water abundant with marine life and the native animals frolicking on country, only highlights the healthy eco system between people, country and creatures. 
The vivid colour palette symbolizes the beauty of our area and the positive relationships aboriginal people share with their surrounds caring for country and our waterways.
