Connection on the Coastline

My artwork celebrates the deep connection between communities on the East Coast of Australia united through saltwater and neighbouring countries. It honours both the ocean and the land by drawing from their textures, colours and rhythms, capturing the contrast and harmony between solid ground and fluid motion. It portrays the vibrant and active lives of our people, both on the land and the ocean where culture, connection and daily life continue side by side. Most of all, it celebrates our ancestors whose presence is reflected through the many middens found along this coastline. Together the land and sea carry the stories of our people – past, present and always.
