Dari

A Dari is a Sacred Eastern Island Headdress which was worn to celebrate the end of initiation which would happen over a matter of weeks, during this time boys were taught by their elders the meaning behind every piece in and around the Dari. It was not worn during warfare battle. Dari was / is only for Kab Kar (Sacred Dance) not to be worn for Segur Kab (Island dance). I will not explain the meaning as it is sacred and passed down only to the Eastern Island people it belongs to.
