Dolphins at Play
Dolphins at Play
This artwork represents the dolphins dancing and playing in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean.
The dolphins’ playfulness symbolises communication and the joys of life, however they are often lessons being taught to their young. They remind us that our spirits are free. Gifted with grace dolphins disappear beneath the waves only to rise again carrying stories of the dreamtime.
In Aboriginal culture, dolphins are often associated with the human spirit. They are seen as guides and protectors delivering messages from the spiritual world into the physical world. They act as teachers, encouraging the importance of balance between work, rest and play.
This artwork depicts such playfulness above and below the oceans’ waterline along with other native sea creatures as they live in harmony. The two circular formation within the water represent the suns rays warming the water whilst the many dots show movement and tidal changes.
