Gumbaynggirr Kids T-Shirt

The Saltwater Freshwater Kids T-Shirt range comes from images taken from the banners that were created from the Marking Country Art Project. Four Nations Banners were created, Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti & Gumbaynggirr.

Saltwater Freshwater Art Alliance ran school holiday on Country workshops in the Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti & Gumbaynggirr Nations with youth aged from 10 to 18 years. Artworks relating to Country, totems, and other meaningful cultural elements were created by our young people. Their artworks were developed into a collaborative piece representing each Nation that were then translated into four distinct banners for distribution to all the schools involved in the project, the ten Local Aboriginal Land Councils and the Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance.
