Beyond its physical presence, the Hastings River holds a deeper significance. It symbolizes continuity and connection, linking generations and stories through time. It serves as a gathering place for families and friends, a space for reflection and celebration. The river carries memories, both joyful and melancholic, as it flows onward, unchanging yet ever-moving.

Artists Bio

My work is heavily influenced by coastal living and the Birpai Creation stories my grandmother would tell me. My art practice explores the connection that Birpai people have to the land, sea rivers and forest. I love to facilitate creative workshops and share my knowledge of cultural food gathering practices.
