Collection: Corina Latimore
Corina is a proud Birpai artist, born, raised and living on Country. She is a direct descendant of William “Goola” Holten and Josephine “Pearl” Moran, Grand daughter of Patricia “Betty” Moran, daughter of Reta Moran.
Corina has multiple accreditations in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts.
In 2022 she was the honoured recipient of Student of the Year for Creative Design Ideation, TAFE NSW Gili Awards. In 2023 Corina was awarded Student of the Year in Creative Design Ideation at the Tafe NSW Excellence Awards.
Corina takes inspiration from all the beauty Country has to offer. From the ocean to the mountains, nature plays a large part in her creative process and is the key theme of her work.
Corina shares story through her bold and striking paintings. Her love of Culture and Country is evident in her line of hand-crafted jewellery, foraged from natural resources found on local beaches. She has complete large-scale Murals displayed around her local area. Her work ‘Fishing Dolphins’ having been selected as the 2023 Saltwater Freshwater Festival Design for branding.
