I am a Gumbaynggirr man from Baga Baga (Nambucca Heads) on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

I have been culturally and spiritually connected to my Jagun (Country) for 55 years now. I hold knowledge of traditional stories, language and the sacred sites within and over time I have installed cultural values, beliefs and responsibilities into my life.

I have worked for a majority of my career in land management and conservation, gaining an understanding of how the land, waters, animals and ourselves are all connected to each other and how critical it is that we should be the authority to preserve our custodian responsibility to Country. My art is inspired by this, and I paint in the hope that people can see the beauty and uniqueness of our ancient cultural heritage and environmental landscape. I primarily highlight the animals that call it home, as they are the ones most affected by colonial destructive impacts on the land. They have no voice to protest, so through my art, I hope to open people's eyes.
