Collection: Jodie Reynolds

Jodie Reynolds is a Aboriginal artist who resides in Lake Macquarie. She is from the Kamilaroi nation and was born and raised on Awabakal land.

The beauty of Awabakal land is the heart of her inspiration and shapes many of her artworks. It is her passion to incorporate her culture into her paintings and tell the stories of her heritage, her life, country and family. Jodie spends many hours in her home studio where she feels motivated to embrace her creativity. Jodie’s artworks are vibrant and colourful, layered and unique to her style sharing stories and experiences.


In November 2024 Jodie was the selected artist to create the major Artwork Project for the John Hunter Hospital. Jodie is also the selected artist to be commissioned by the Lake Macquarie City Council Holiday Parks to design and produce artworks to represent each holiday park that are being installed in their newly renovated recreation rooms throughout Lake Macquarie. Jodie artwork “Sharing and Caring for Diabetes” was chosen to be the face of the Diabetes Alliance Plus network and is now featured on the brand-new Diabetes Medi-bus that will travel throughout NSW. Jodie has won several art awards, including the Mental Health Artworks Exhibition in 2021, The Joblink Plus Exhibition in 2024 and The Wandiyali NAIDOC Art Exhibition in 2025. Jodie has been a twice finalist in the Lake Mac Yapang Emerging Indigenous Artist, and has recently been selected as a finalist in the Mac Yapang Art Prize 2025.
