Our NAIDOC Cultural Revival Gathering embodied the NAIDOC 2024 theme ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’
On Friday 26 July 2024 the Fire Wisdom exhibition opened with Ceremony, tucker, music, dancers and art at The Gallery.
The Fire Wisdom exhibition asked artists to share their relationship with the element of fire, including ancestral connections, cultural yarns, personal and historical relationships or cultural burning practices.
On Saturday 27 July 2024 we welcomed guests to sit around the fire, yarn, grab some tucker, sit with weavers, learn from our Elders, be captivated by dancers. It was joyful day filled with laughs and sharing of culture.
This National NAIDOC Week Activity was funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
