Kathy Stevens

Kathy Stevens (Webb) is a decendant of the Dharug tribe in Sydney, her clan is Boorooberongal.


She first moved to the Coffs Harbour area in 1985, and has called Gumbaynggirr Country home for nearly 40 years.
Kathy's roots are deeply embedded in Gumbaynggirr Country and she is recognised and embraced by local Elders and community as belonging to Gumbaynggirr land and mob.

She draws her inspiration from the community and land which she has raised her 3 children on. She has always enjoyed creating art pieces using natural fibres that Mother nature produces. She feels like it is a form of meditation, which helps to heal the soul and keep you connected to the earth.
