Jame Telfer


I am a proud Gumbaynggirr woman. My family are the Traditional Custodians of the Bellingen Valley on Gumbaynggirr land, where we still live on Country at Yellow Rock, Urunga.

My bloodlines extend from Gumbaynggirr Country through to Anaiwan Country, and across the seas to Ireland and Wales. I proudly walk with the spirit of my mothers and grandmothers before me. I am the first-born daughter and granddaughter of my line, an extremely proud mother of four children, a beloved wife, and a full-time creative being, seeking to express myself in every way I can.
