With this painting, I aim to raise a quiet but important question: what support systems do we have—or lack—when it comes to parenting? Behind every parent is a network, whether visible or invisible, that shapes the experience of raising a child. Grandparents, friends, community groups, partners, schools, or even moments of kindness from strangers—all of these play a role. This piece explores the emotional and practical scaffolding that helps carry the weight of parenting. By bringing this into view, I hope to spark conversation about how essential these networks are, and how we might better support each other in the shared work of raising the next generation.
